Social media users have continued to react differently to the appointment of no fewer than 47 media team members by the executive governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

In a Tweet on his verified Twitter account late Friday, the governor disclosed that he is confident he has engaged the services of capable hands who will assist him in piloting Adamawa to greater heights.

Unveiling the 47 media members’ list, he wrote, “I’m confident that this diverse and talented team will play a crucial role in enhancing our communication efforts and strengthening our public engagement. Together, we’ll work towards achieving our goals and serving the people effectively.”

The appointments list includes two special advisers, 10 senior special assistants, and 35 Special Assistants on Social Media and Content Creation.

The appointments, however, have failed to sit well with some Twitter users who took to the post comments section to berate the governor over the development.

According to the users, such appointments are nothing but another way to waste the public funds.

Reacting, a Twitter user, @Sire_sommy wrote, “47-man media team?

Even Nollywood cast no reach like this!”

Another user, @TheresaOgbeche0 wrote, “35 content creators?

Is your government a skit?

Omo!”

“How do you plan to reduce the cost of governance with so many advisers on media only? Will they be operating Adamawa radio station or th station cos why do you need about 50 ppl?

Haba.” @AmudaDewale tweeted.

Another user@Islimfit wrote, “Even Sabinus and Macaroni don’t have this many people on their team combined.”

@Iamhizeac tweeted, “H.E sir, we are talking about cutting the cost of governance during this hardship period to see to the poverty in the states.

You just have a long list of people doing the same job with huge salaries. Haba

We all saw what happen last week in your state. It is well.”

@Nikishow911 wrote, “35 content creators, 10 special advisors, 2 senior advisors to one person, a total of 47 advisors on media to one person for 4 yrs and u all wonder why this country is like this. Public servant allocations should be slashed and all unnecessary offices should be cancelled.

She continued, “Why should the masses be the only one bearing the bad economy, we all should till thing regulate but obviously, u all are receiving all benefits in due time while the masses can’t make end meets. Those 47 offices are irrelevant offices that shouldn’t be more than 2 persons.”
