2027: Why PDP is losing elections — Dele Momodu

Dele Momodu, a former presidential aspirant, has shed some light on why the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is struggling to win elections in Nigeria.

According to him, the party’s lack of focus and divided loyalty are major contributors to their electoral woes.

Appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Momodu, Momodu claimed that some party members are working against the party’s interests by simultaneously supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC).

”Now we are losing elections, due to lack of concentration not because PDP is unpopular ordinarily; it requires concerted efforts. You cannot work for two masters, you want to work for APC and at the same time PDP, which is chaos,” he opined.

This isn’t the first time concerns about internal issues have been raised.

Segun Adewale, a former PDP chairman in Lagos, attributed the party’s repeated losses to mismanagement of election funds and anti-party activities by some leaders.

He also highlighted the lack of unity within the party as a significant factor.
