Former Governor of Ogun, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has reaffirmed his unalloyed support for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to office for another four-year term in the 2027 general elections.

Amosun stated this after participating in the All Progressives Congress Presidential Primary Election at his Ward 6, Itoko, Abeokuta, on Saturday.

The former governor, who was warmly received by other party faithful and residents, said the exercise was just an affirmation in line with a consensus agreement to return the President to office.

He expressed satisfaction about the outcome of the election, while appreciating party members who trooped out in their numbers to participate in the process for conducting themselves in a peaceful and orderly manner.

“Well, you know today is very special. Today is for the President, and we all must come out to show and demonstrate that yes, we are for the President. We are for APC, and that’s why I am here. You know we have done the one for the governor, so all of us are in sync; we have all taken that position.

“We are here today just to reaffirm what we have done, and that is what happened. All members of the party, all over the country, in every ward, are doing this. I am here to participate as well.

“I am happy with the way and manner our people came out to participate, you see, they are very excited, they are very eager to be part of what is going on.

“I am satisfied with the process, and you could see how the people came out in their numbers, see the crowd on ground, they have come to show support for our president. We are orderly, and that is what it should be, all of us are speaking with one voice, no dissenting voice. Everybody has agreed that yes, we want our president to return,” he said.
