The Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has reiterated his commitment to supporting grassroots mobilisation and initiatives aimed at consolidating the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
This is just as the Minister declared that the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 is “a done deal,” citing the overwhelming grassroots support the President continues to enjoy across the country, particularly in Ondo state.
Tunji -Ojo assured that the people of Ondo State will continue to stand firmly behind Tinubu, pledging sustained grassroots mobilisation in support of the administration’s policies and programmes.

Tunji-Ojo gave the assurance in Abuja while receiving a delegation of the Grassroots Movement for Tinubu (GMT), led by its Director of Corporate Affairs, Hon. Bayowa Foresythe, who presented a letter of appreciation from the group’s National Director General, Hon. Bisi Yusuf.
According to the Minister, Ondo remains a stronghold of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and will always align with the vision of President Tinubu.
“I cannot sit in Abuja and fail to support my people back home. Ondo State will always support Mr. President, whether through grassroots mobilisation, party activities or programmes that ease the suffering of our people,” he said.
He commended GMT for its contributions to promoting Tinubu’s achievements, especially through initiatives like the ongoing Jingi Asiwaju free medical outreach in Ondo.
He expressed gratitude to the national leadership of GMT, noting that the support groups remain critical partners in galvanising public confidence in government policies.
He said, “We must put in our best to support Mr. President. I cannot sit in Abuja and fail to extend support to my people in Ondo, whether through grassroots mobilisation, party activities, or programmes that ease the suffering of the people.”
He emphasised the importance of synergy between government, party structures, and support groups like GMT and other support groups, stressing that “every single vote counts in consolidating President Tinubu’s mandate.”
The Minister also commended the Ondo GMT leadership, led by a former Commissioner of Works in Ondo state, Hon. Yusuf-Ogunleye, and his counterpart, Hon. Rasheed Badmus, the former Commissioner for Natural Resources, for their steadfastness and commitment to the movement.
Foresythe, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Mortgage Board (LAGOSHOMS), commended the Minister for his moral and financial backing of GMT’s activities in Ondo State.
He noted that Tunji-Ojo’s interventions had sustained several initiatives, including the ongoing Jingi Asiwaju free medical outreach across senatorial districts.
“We are particularly impressed by the visibility given to Mr. President’s achievements on national media platforms, including newspaper and television adverts,” Foresythe said while delivering the appreciation message.
