The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board is set to commence the processing of visas for its over 1,800 intending pilgrims for this year’s (2025) Hajj exercise, aiming to meet the timeline according to the rules and guidelines set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and Saudi Arabia.
This was contained in a press statement issued, signed, and made available to the Online Tribune in Dutse, the state capital, by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Malam Habibu Yusuf Babura, who said, “This is part of the board’s efforts to ensure a successful exercise this year.”
According to the statement, “To that effect, the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Ahamed Umar Labbo, called on all the intending pilgrims who have yet to submit their international passports to do so immediately to avoid delays in the visa process.”
Malam Habibu Yusuf explained that the Director General of the Board, during the board management meeting, announced that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to facilitate a smooth visa application process for intending pilgrims from the state.
The statement further stated that the board would strictly adhere to the rules and guidelines set by the National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) and Saudi Arabia.
