2025 Hajj: Edo board extends payment, registration deadline

The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has extended the deadline for Hajj fare payments for 2025 until March 7.

This extension is aimed at allowing intending pilgrims who were unable to make payments by the 15th of this month to do so.

This information was shared in a press statement signed by Malam Habibu Babura, the board’s public relations officer.

He indicated that the extension follows a directive from the National Hajj Commission.

According to the statement “The payment is now continue for intending pilgrims until 7 March, 2025 to give those not opportune to make payment”.

Babura further revealed that the board has so par remitted over N6 billion to the National Hajj Commission in respect of intending pilgrims from Jigawa State.

The statement commended the Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, for his commitment to the welfare of the state’s pilgrims.

The pilgrim’s board had earlier fixed 30th January as the deadline and extended it to February 15 for registration of intending pilgrims for Hajj 2025.
