President Bola Tinubu has announced that the Federal Government has allocated N940.5 billion to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) in the 2025 fiscal year.
This significant allocation is aimed at enhancing manpower and infrastructure development in the education sector.
Tinubu made the announcement at the 42nd Founders’ Day and 33rd Convocation of the Federal University of Technology, Minna.
He emphasised that this gesture demonstrates his administration’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure and manpower.
The president also highlighted the federal government’s efforts to support students, noting that over N104 billion in loans has been disbursed to more than 600,000 students across tertiary institutions.
Tinubu urged universities to collaborate with industries, aligning research with societal needs to contribute to national development.
He congratulated the graduates on their achievements, encouraging them to embark on their new chapter with confidence and purpose.
