The member representing Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency and the gubernatorial aspirant for Ebony State, Dr Sylvester Ogbaga, has described the former governor of the state and the senator representing Ebonyi North, Dr Sam Egwu, as the best choice for senate come 2023.
Ogbaga made this known on Saturday when he visited Egwu in his Ngbo residence during the official presentation of the nomination/expression of interest form to Egwu by the G-15 group.
Ogbaga noted that the senator has a unique leadership stride and has played vital roles in the polity of the state. He said Egwu “represents a promising turning point for Ebonyi State and for Nigeria’s democracy.”
Ogbaga urged stakeholders to queue behind Egwu. He stated that revamping the economy, security, education, amongst others, would be Egwu’s priorities in his zone.

He added that he has “an intimidating track record of efficient and prudent resources management.”
On the other hand, Egwu lamented that the state is at its lowest ebb, adding that if he has the opportunity to continue as a senator, he would with other critical stakeholders turn around its fortune.
