2020: Our prophecies Olukoya, Kasali, Olorunsola, others share their visions

Church leaders never cease to begin the New Year with prophecies, as it has become a norm in Christendom as well as one of the major events that kick off the year.

Notable clerics of various denominations have released prophetic declarations concerning 2020 with instructions and warnings from God.

TribuneChurch chronicles some of the prophecies of some church leaders in the country.

Nigerian leaders will be shifted away, Olukoya warns

The General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Worldwide, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, has declared that many Nigerian leaders will be shifted away in the New Year, noting that 2020 is a year where disobedience to God will yield terrible result that no deliverance will be able to reverse.

In his 2020 ‘prophesy window’, released during the crossover vigil, Pastor Olukoya charged Nigerians to pray because the year would be messy and confusing to all.

According to the cleric, who tagged the year, ‘Year of Revival and New Glory’, 2020 portends re-writing negative family history and aggressive prayers against evil voices from foundation. “It is a year of unbelievable answers to prayers; mark my words, it is a year of uncommon testimonies,” he declared, adding that “it is a year of ‘it can only be God’ testimonies.

“It is a year where many captives will totally divorce their chains. This year, many families shall climb to a new height of victories. It is a year when the saints must be well sensitive to heavenly frequencies. Food supplies from the kingdom of Herod shall be cut off.”

Dr Olukoya charged that 2020 is a year when round-the-clock prayers are needed against national restlessness plus political and economic confusion, urging that for those who love this country, “it is advisable to spare one day in the week as believers to fast and pray for our nation.”

Mighty men will fall in 2020 —Kasali

The General Overseer of Mountain of Mercy, (Ori Oke Alaseyori), Prophet Moses Muyideen Kasali, predicted that mighty men will fall in the year 2020.

The visually-impaired cleric also revealed that Nigerians would witness prosperity by regaining lost grounds.

“What God revealed to me about 2020 is that it is a year of double blessing for those who are on the Lord’s side, but mighty men will fall in areas of academics, business and in the service of God.”

“2020 is the harvest time for those who served God genuinely and those that thought God had forgotten them.”

There is going to be a strong media war, protests —Eze

Founder and president of Zion Heritage and Miracles Ministries International, Lugbe, Abuja, Bishop Okwudili Eze stated that there is going to be a strong media war in Nigeria and a lot of demonstrations and protests against the government.

“If Nigeria does not diversify her economy towards energy, technology, and mechanised farming but continue its dependence on oil, this coming economic holocaust and retrogression shall shake the nation badly and cause her to be grossly indebted to nations.”

According to him, there shall be an emergence of strong female apostolic and prophetic voices that shall be great visionary intercessors to reposition nations and individuals through travailing prayer for the birthing of God’s new agenda for nations and individuals.

“President George Weah would have a need to revisit the altar that enthroned him as a president. I saw him in the midst of economic crises and doubt about his ability to lead the nation to glory. He should pray against financial embezzlement, corruption charges and impeachment. Strong forces of hell are seriously against him to pull him down,” he said.

He urges the nation of Ghana to pray seriously against political riots and wanton destruction of lives and properties between the supporters of the ruling party and the opposition party. “God is about to reposition Ghana as a great economic hub in Africa but they should not waste it because of tribal politics, selfishness and greed.”

With seven-day fast, prayer for first seven months, 2020 would be easier – Prophet Olorunsola

The Founder and Primate of Living Christ Gospel Church Nigeria and Overseas, Prophet Nathaniel Olorunsola, charged Nigerians to fast and pray for God to make 2020 easier for the country and its citizens, considering the peculiar nature of the year.

Prophet Olorunsola said 2020 would be a year of goodies from the Lord but that those who cannot wait upon the Lord through fasting and prayer will be far from the promises.

In the 26th edition of his annual book of revelations, the cleric noted that “there must be seven-day fasting for the first seven months of the year. This will help to seek the face of the lord in the year.”

“The Lord said 2020 will be a year of joy and blessing for God’s elect and those who know God. Many families will become rich. There will be promotion and progress in the country. Many youths will be appointed into new positions. Some youths will get government jobs. Farming and animal husbandry will be more pronounced in 2020.

“The Lord said good and evil in the year are equal; the Lord has blessings in stock for Nigerians. Let everybody begin the year with seven days prayer and fasting so that all the promises of God can come to pass,” he added.

The cleric, however, noted that despite the many goodies the year holds in store, there would also be strife in many countries of the world and there would also be hardship.

On the political scene, he said: “the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would be rocked by various degrees of crises over unity and sharing of positions while some states such as Adamawa, Edo, Cross River, Rivers, Kaduna, Kogi, Lagos, Osun, would witness various kinds of violence. There would be issues over agitation for the implementation of the 2014 national conference report and this would lead to a crisis.”
