One of the registered political parties in Nigeria, the National Rescue Movement ( NRM), has forged an alliance with the All Progressives Congress (APC ), in Sokoto State and the country at large, according to its Sokoto State Chapter Chairman, Alhaji Sabo Muhammad.
Alhaji Sabo Muhammad disclosed this during a visit to the leader of the APC in Sokoto State and the Coordinator, North West, Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, at his Gawon Nama residence, in Sokoto.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Senator Wamakko, Bashir Rabe Mani and issued to newsmen in Sokoto.
According to Muhammad, the formation of the alliance was sequel to the tremendous, tangible and even achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari, in the last four years.
In the same vein, he averred that the development was facilitated by the giant strides recorded by Senator Wamakko as a Governor of the state between 2007 and 2015, as well as, as the incumbent Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District.
The Chairman vowed that the leadership and membership of the NRM in the state would immediately embark on a statewide, house to house mobilization and sensitization of the electorate, In favour of APC Candidates, at all levels.

Responding, Senator Wamakko promised that, they would be treated fairly, and taken along in all the activities of the APC.
The visit was witnessed by the NRM Gubernatorial Candidate in the state, Alhaji Tsalhatu Alhaji Alhaji, it’s Sokoto North Senatorial District Candidate, Alhaji Saadu Kyashe ,as well as all its wards executives across the 23 Local Governments of the state, among others.
