Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on Sunday donated 18 buses to the Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Organisation in the state, with a call on the electorate to vote for continuity in the 2019 general elections.
Akeredolu, while handing the vehicles to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in each of the 18 local government areas in the state, said the vehicles were donated to ease the movement of the campaign officials in all the local government areas in the state.
He said the vehicles would allow the party officials to canvass for vote and enlighten the people at the grassroots on the achievements of the present administration in the country and the need to re-elect them.
The governor expressed optimism that Nigerians including the people of the state would vote for President Buhari because he had fulfilled most of this electoral promises to the people of the country.
According to him, the move was in furtherance to his commitment to the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President, Yemi Osinbanjo and called on the leadership of the party in various local government to mobilise for the party to ensure victory for the party in the election.
Akeredolu noted that the 2019 election is very important to the APC and the state and the future of the country and urged the Chairmen to make good use of the vehicle.

He urged the party’s members to work hard toward securing fresh tenures for Buhari saying the President remains the best choice for the nation.
Receiving the vehicles on behalf of the Chairmen, the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Ade Adetimehin, commended the gesture of the governor saying the vehicle would go a long way to spur member of the party to work for the victory of Buhari in 2019.
Adetimehin called on other members of the party to emulate the governor by donating towards the building of the party.
He stressed the need for the party officials to educate the electorate on the need to safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards and use it to decide and re-elect Buhari in 2019.
He also called on those who had registered but had yet to collect their permanent voters’ cards to visit their various local government to obtain their cards.
The event was witnessed by party loyalists, top government functionaries and leaders across the state which included: the deputy governor, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Gbenga Ale and other members of the State Executive Council were at the event.
Others include Senator Tayo Alasoadura, Senator Yele Omogunwa, members of the state House of Assembly led by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Ogundeji Iroju and other eminent personalities also attended the event.
