Nasarawa State governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura has reaffirmed his belief in the ability of President Muhammadu Buhari to revamp the economy of the nation in the year 2017.
The governor said this while delivering his New Year message through a press statement made available to newsmen by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Ahmed Tukur, on Sunday in Lafia, the state capital.
According to the governor, the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has set up machinery that will ensure enduring legacies that will move the country in a positive direction.
“The year 2017 will be a blissful year to all Nigerians as the change mantra of President Muhammadu Buhari will manifest more in the year. I call on Nigerians to support the administration.
“The year will offer greater and better opportunities to the people in various sectors of the economy,” he said and called for more understanding.
Governor Al-makura added that, the APC change mantra has taken root in every sector of the economy and will refine the value system that will bring about the desired development for the people of the country.
He urged Nigerians to take advantage of polices of the APC administration and assured them that the feat achieved by the military in capturing Sambisa forest was a continuous exercise and part of the campaign promise of the President.
The governor, however, reassured of his administration’s drive to uphold transparency, accountability, as well as sustained peace and security in the state.
