The old student association of Methodist Primary School, Oke Ado Ibadan 1966/1971 set has donated facilities including toilet, borehole and generator to the alma mater.
The facilities were commissioned and handed over to the school on Thursday at the school premises in Ibadan in celebration of the group 50 years anniversary of graduating from the alma mater.
Speaking during the official commissioning and presentation of the facilities to the school, president of the group Mr Adeoye Mapaderun, explained that the group decided to embark on the project after its first visit to the school and discovered the school is in need of the facilities and needed to find solutions to it.
He added that the old students are determined to intervene in the development of the school’s infastructure such as Information Communications Technology (ICT) and reconstruction of the school fence.
Mapaderun who felt nostalgia for his school days lamented the state of infrastructural facilities in the school.

He also sought the support of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in the development of infrastructural facilities in the school and added that the alumni will consider 50 percent intervention while the SUBEB also work on 50 percent of the project.
Responding, Headmistress of the school, Mrs I.B Adeleke appreciate the old students for the gesture.
She said: “I wish to extend appreciation to all old students of this school especially 1966/1971 set for this great achievement. God in his infinite mercy will continue to bless you,” she said.
She however assures the old students that the facilities will be properly used and maintained.
