The president of the Alumni Association of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Mr Bolaji Julius Oladeji, has announced that the alumni had donated N39 million worth of modern chairs and tables to equip the 2000-capacity lecture theatre the association built for the university last year.
He also commended the steady growth of the university and its invaluable contribution to excellent education manpower development over the years.
The alumni national president disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday to felicitate the university on the occasion of its 16th convocation.
He said, “The alumni are undoubtedly grateful to the university management for the unalloyed commitment to the steady growth of the Tai Solarin University of Education.
“Indeed, the vice chancellor, Prof. Oluwole Banjo, has created an endearing legacy of development-driven partnership, collaboration and inclusive administration with the alumni association and the university community, which has further enhanced the success story of TASUED.

“In furtherance of the continued commitment of my administration to the development of the alumni and the university at large, the 2000-capacity lecture hall which was donated to the university last year by the alumni association has now been fully equipped with modern chairs and tables valued at N39,000,000 by the alumni.”
The alumni president lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for equipping the alumni lecture hall with six air conditioners worth of N6,000,000.
He revealed further that the alumni leadership had granted approval for the construction of 144-bed capacity Postgraduate Hall of Residence for the university, which will begin by the end of March 2025 to kickstart the 20 years Founder’s Day anniversary.
