The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has revealed that the average price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), popularly known as cooking gas, has recorded a slight decline on a month-on-month basis.
In its LPG Price Watch for July 2025 released on X on Tuesday, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) revealed that the average retail cost of refilling a 12.5kg cylinder dropped to N20,609.48 in July, down from N21,010.56 in June, representing a 1.91 percent decrease.

However, on a year-on-year basis, the report showed a significant rise of 44.51 percent, as the price in July 2024 stood at N14,261.57.
The data also highlighted state variations, with Imo, Delta, and Rivers recording the highest average prices, while Kebbi, Nasarawa, and Kwara posted the lowest.
