Commenting on the challenges of mining natural resources in the state, Oyebamiji explained that “mining is on the exclusive list of the Federal Government. We still have one or two papers to get from the federal government. We are making efforts to get aerol magnetic survey machine that would enable us to determine the actual quantity of natural resources or materials underneath earth”.
The commissioner said that “Osun State has about 16 different mining licenses in different states, including Kogi, Bayelsa.
He, however, defended the debt profile of Osun, stressing that “you don’t grow if you don’t borrow. Aregbesola got it right for incurring debts to provide facilities. Going borrowing shows that Aregbesola is visionary.
