The gunmen terrorising residents of the Mangu local government area of Plateau State struck again on Sunday and killed eleven people, set houses on fire, and injured several others.
Tribune Online learned that the gunmen suspected to be killer herdsmen invaded the Kulben community in Kunbum District of the council at about 10:00 a.m. when the inhabitants were about to go to bed.
Sources close to the community disclosed that the gunmen, who were in their hundreds, went on a shooting spree immediately after they entered the community and killed people at random, mostly those running for their lives.
According to the source, in the operation, which lasted for more than an hour, the gunmen also destroyed farm crops, burned down several houses, and injured many people, mostly children and women.
“Armed Fulani Militia attacked Kulben Community in Kombun District of Mangu Local Government.
