TEN-year-old Wilson Onasanya, of Lightway Schools, Ilorin, has unveiled a mathematics book written by him.
The book unveiling was among the activities lined up by the school to round up this year’s academic session, which is usually known for showcasing the academic and creative achievements of pupils, colourful display of talents and accomplishments.
According to the proprietress of the school, Mrs Modupe Erinoso, “major highlights of the event included the official unveiling of the school’s pioneer book author, 10-year-old Wilson Onasanya, a Primary 5 pupil of the school.”
Erinoso said: “Onasanya has written a book titled “My Adventure with Numbers,” a personal account of his growing love for mathematics.”
Giving further insights about the book the proprietress said: “The book chronicles Onasanya’s transformation from a curious learner to a passionate mathematics enthusiast, inspired by late-night lessons with his mother. What began as a simple bonding routine quickly became a source of academic excellence, ultimately earning him the nickname ‘Maths King,’ among his classmates.”
Wilson is a son of Professor Samuel Adebisi Onasanya of the Department of Educational Technology, University of Ilorin.
