1 killed as police foil robbery in Delta

OPERATIVES of the B’Division, Warri Area Command of the Nigeria Police, weekend, foiled a robbery operation and killed a suspect in the process.

Tribune Online gathered on Sunday that two suspected armed bandits, on Friday night, had invaded a house, 20, Ekabo Street, Off Kosini Street in the heart of Warri.

The police operatives, led by the DPO of B’Division, Eyo Anietie, after receiving a distress call, stormed the house and engaged the suspected armed bandits in a gun duel.

Besides foiling the robbery operation, one of the suspects identified as Nathaniel Omoru, met his end while his partner-in-crime allegedly escaped with bullet wounds.

A locally-made pistol, a phone and other items were allegedly recovered from the suspected bandits while efforts are said to be ongoing to apprehend the bullet-wounded, fleeing suspect.

A CCTV video footage exclusively obtained by Tribune Online on the robbery operation showed one of the suspects, Nathaniel, on knickers and bare-chested, leaving and returning to one of the rooms before dragging a woman out of the room to the corridor of the house.
