I want the government to see to the plight of pensioners across the states of the Federation, especially as regards the issue of the minimum wage. Today, the official minimum wage is N18,000, but it is shocking that some pensioners in the states still earn below that amount. I, therefore, want to charge the government that whenever it wants to approve the new minimum wage for civil servants, it should do same for pensioners immediately so that our senior citizens won’t be living below the minimum wage.
