The executive members of Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) have tasked the Federal Government to tackle numerous problems facing the country and the masses, which were caused by corruption and bad leadership.
They contended that with good leadership,Nigeria has hope for greatness in all spheres of life and get rid of its current economic recession.
The NIM leaders said this on Saturday, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, during a visit to a Fellow of the Institute,Professor Sabit Ariyo Olagoke, who was described as a pride to NIM.
The NIM leaders from Osun and Ogun states included Messrs Sanyaolu Olopade, South West chairman, M.T. Ogundeyi, chairman, Ilaro chapter, Mathew Dada and John Olaogun.
Ogundeyi, while speaking with newsmen on the occasion, commended the Federal Government for its courage to fight corruption, which has crippled the growth of the country and adversely affected the masses for many years.
He called for integrity,patriotism and transparency from those in positions of authority, adding that NIM would closely monitor the activities of those called to provide good leadership.
Earlier, the chapter chairman, had lauded Professor Olagoke for his philanthropy.
Also, Professor Olagoke, in his address tagged, NIM,A searchlight of development”, called on the Institute to work on issues of War Against Indiscipline (WAI), in order to zero down corruption through necessary and timely sanction on offenders.
Professor Olagoke, however, pledged his loyalty and support for NIM codes of conduct.
