It was an atmosphere of restoration of hopes, when popular politician, Seyi Makinde led other dignitaries from all walks of life to put smiles on the faces of orphans and the underprivileged at the official launch of the Ark of Hope for All Foundation (AOHF) as part of the activities witnessed to celebrate this year’s Children’s Day.
The anchor, veteran actor, Sunday Omobolanle (a.k.a) Papi Luwe also thrilled guests and hundreds of participants at the event, last Saturday, at Osho Event Centre, Old Ife Road, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The high point of the event included various displays by kids; cultural and inspirational songs renditions, while the president of the foundation, Seyi Akinbohun, who was assisted by Seyi Makinde, distributed gifts, school materials and food items to the underprivileged.
In his words, Seyi Makinde, who is also the chairman, Board of Trustees of the foundation, appreciated the initiative, while he described the passion of the founder as a worthy effort in keeping the hopes of the helpless alive.
He further charged other Nigerian, especially the well-to-do to impact immensely in the underprivileged.
Aside being the compere of the event, Papi Luwe also expressed his delight on the performance of the kids, just as he commended the initiative of the foundation, describing the act of giving, especially to the underprivileged as the hallmark of mankind.
In her response, the founder of the foundation, Akinbohun, revealed that her passion in restoring hopes to the hopeless was inborn and that she would not hesitate in giving her best to impact positively on the needy.
She added: “I thank God for the success of this event and the official launch of the foundation is just a platform to set the pace of our proposed permanent site of the AOHF resort arena for the underprivileged and I am determined that it will be a success, because I see these set of people as God creation and they also deserve equal right.”
Some of the dignitaries that graced the event include Chief Adedeji Ojo, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, while kids from Children of Promise Ministries, Jesus Kids Home, Oriyomi Hamzat Home, among other homes were participants at the event.
