There are indications that YNBL boss, Olamide and one of his artistes, Adekunle Gold may have parted ways.
Information gathered by R suggests that Olamide and Gold have reportedly decided to move on after the expiration of the latter’s contract with the record label.
R gathered that Gold, who released an album under Olamide’s YBNL record last year has reportedly deleted Olamide’s pictures from his Instagram account as of the time of filing this report.
The reason for his decision was yet to be ascertained as neither Olamide nor Gold was willing to talk about the development but those who should know informed R that Gold had made up his mind to move on since his contract with the label expired in December 2016.
Olamide had said in an interview with R last year that he would not extend Gold’s contract when it expires, saying “I want all my artistes to grow. I want them to be big and empower others to become big in their own rights too.”
Just last year, Lil Kesh, another artiste on the label ditched YBNL but Olamide was quick to defend his exit saying, “I have no problem with Lil Kesh, he’s my boy and I am happy that he’s quitting my label to set up his own record label, which he called Young And Getting It (YAGI).”
Efforts to speak with Gold on the development proved abortive as his management compnay was not disposed to speaking on the matter.
