IT is obvious that the government we elected finds solace in acting upon the weaknesses of the citizenry and discarding those that need to be helped.
The Egbeda/Gowon Estate market is a typical example of the government’s attitude towards the financial growth of citizens.
The recently renovated shops in Egbeda market have caused discomfort owing to the hike in the rent. Traders are complaining. How can a small shop be sold for N400,000 when the government knows full well that not all petty traders can afford this huge amount?
It is a serious issue that could make poverty to increase.
I, therefore, urge the government of Lagos State to get involved in the issues bothering the citizenry.
