THE chief executive of Abbacon Investments Limited, Mr Benson BabatundeAyetoro, has expressed the readiness of the company to collaborate with the University of Ilorin to tackle the challenges of youth unemployment and food insecurity in the country.
MrAyetoro stated this recently when he led some Chinese investors to a meeting with the university management to finalise agreement between the university and Abbacon Investments Limited.
Other members of the Abbacom delegation, who are specialists in the production of farm seedlings and agricultural equipment in China, included Messrs Guan Gshun, Peter Wang and Tian Nua.
MrAyetoro noted that his interests were born out of the desire to genuinely and speedily empower youths in the country. He said that his company was ready to collaborate with UNILORIN to facilitate transfer of knowledge and technology, especially in the areas of agriculture and development of agricultural infrastructure.
This, according to him, would result in higher output, improved productivity, and more money to Nigeria.
The Abbacon team thereafter presented a short documentary film showcasing the agricultural value chain and operations carried out by the potential investors in China.
