I want to use this opportunity to bring to the attention of the Kwara State government the suffering of people on Ejiba Road in Ilorin, as a result of the bridge constructed in the area.
Since the construction of the bridge, people living around the area no longer have access to their various homes with vehicles. The bridge was built in such a way that it cut-off all access to the road. The buildings on this road have approved plans and Certificate of Occupancy (CofO), but as I write, there are vehicles ‘trapped’ inside their owners’ houses since there are no roads for them to access. This has been the case for the past three years, and it is on this note that residents of this area are appealing to the state government to order the contractor of the bridge to provide access roads for residents.
