Atiku, grand master of Nigerian politics — Niger Gov

Former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar,  has been described as one of the grand masters of Nigerian politics.

Felicitating with Atiku on his 70th birthday, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello said Nigeria’s political history would never be complete without the mention of the country’s former number two citizen.

In a congratulatory message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace, Governor Bello described the former vice- president as a symbol of humility.

“Today, we heartily rejoice with one of our own on this great landmark of attaining the septuagenarian cadre in life. We rejoice with an enigma, a man whose passion for the unity and corporate existence of this country is unquantified.

“In the past decades since you joined politics at the  instance of the late Shehu Musa  Yar’Adua, you have remained as constant as the Northern star on  Nigeria’’s political scene,”he said.

Governor Bello described Abubakar as a politician, who combined politics with business successfully.

He also commended the former vice-president for his interest and investment in education.

“Your investment in education stands you out.  Today, it is impossible to  discuss education without reference to American University of Nigeria, (AUN), Yola ” he said.

The governor prayed Allah to grant the celebrant long life, good health and wisdom to serve this country and humanity in general.
