Some celebrities and representatives of financial institutions have volunteered to participate in the dance workshop organised by Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau popularly known as Kaffy.
Psquare, Kate Henshaw, Alibaba, Omawunmi, Daddy Showkey and Lamboginny will be serving as facilitators at the workshop alongside professionals such as Nimi Akinkugbe and Arese Ugwu of Smart Money Arese and Bukky Karibi-Whyte of Bobby Taylor Company.
Kaffy says she wants to build a dance community in Nigeria. She will be taking some amateur and interested dancers on the theoretical and practical steps of becoming a dancer, while other facilitators like Psquare will be standing with Kaffy to empower these dancers.
According to a statement released by the dancer, the workshop will take place in five locations namely, Ibadan, Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Accra, the capital of Ghana.
She also said that, “The workshop will cover important topics such as; Attitude & Talent, Finance in Dance Business, Branding and the best use of Social media, Importance of technique and skill acquisition.”
Touted with the mantra, “Dance business is serious business,” the first of its kind workshop will be headlined by Hollywood, an American dance choreographer, who has worked with various recording artists such as Chris Brown, Ciara, and Rihanna and most recently Beyonce’s ‘On the Run Tour’, Nicki Minaj’s ‘ Billboard Music Award’ performance as well as Jennifer Lopez’s ‘American Music Award’.
