Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has criticised fellow artiste Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, after the veteran musician ranked Burna Boy ahead of him on the global stage during a recent interview.
Tribune Online reports that 2Baba made the comment while speaking on the Mic On Podcast, hosted by Seun Okinbaloye, where he shared his thoughts on the long-running conversation around the so-called ‘Big 3’ – Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy, widely regarded as Nigeria’s leading global music exports.
When asked who among the trio currently reigns supreme internationally, 2Baba named Burna Boy as the number one Nigerian artiste “on the global stage.”

Wizkid, however, did not take the remark lightly. In a post shared on Snapchat, the Grammy-winning singer referred to 2Baba as an old man and questioned his stance.
“I’m never letting it slack in 2026.”
“At least make peace with your family first before having opinions about music. Old man,” he added.
The exchange has stirred reactions among fans, many of whom continue to argue over who holds the top spot among the three artistes shaping Nigeria’s global sound.
