What makes Easter celebrations unique?

Easter is when Christians all over the world celebrate the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus. It is a period in which they reflect on the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. What do our children think Easter is? Some gave their opinion.

Easter is unique because then we celebrate the victory of Jesus over death, we reflect on His suffering to liberate man from sin and death.

Easter is a unique festival in which Christians (especially Catholics) try to replicate the sufferings of Jesus on the cross. Christians also replicate the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem during this period on the Sunday before Easter, this is called Palm Sunday.

Another unique feature of Easter is the 40-day fasting that Christians observe as part of identifying with the sufferings of Jesus. This fasting is called Lent.

Some countries have Easter Egg which makes Easter unique compared to other celebrations.

Easter is celebrated worldwide to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ after His crucifixion. Easter is unique because it brought Holy Communion, the Last Supper and Palm Sunday, in remembrance of His entry into Jerusalem. Easter can be called the “feast of all feasts”.

Easter is the celebration of Jesus’ death and resurrection. It is a significant celebration of hope in the sense that after death there is life. Easter makes us aware as Christians the victory we have over sin and death. Jesus was crucified, yet that did not determine the end of his life. It therefore guarantees our life of victory over sin and death.

Easter is the celebration of the crucifixion, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. To every Christian, who believe in resurrection it is a plus to their Christian faith. Easter is celebrated at the end of the forty days fasting and prayer – the Lent. It is significant and different to Christians because it reminds us the love, sacrifice and hope of which other celebrations do not guarantee.

It is a unique for it is an assurance of the debt we owe and that is paid by an innocent man. It also unique in the sense that it gives us the assurance of the connection between us and our heavenly father.

Easter Celebration is unique compared to other celebrations because Easter signifies the resurrection of Christ after death. Hence, if Christ has not risen, we will be serving a dead God, our preaching will be useless and so is our faith. 1 Cor. 15:14.

Easter Celebration is unique because it is a prophesy that came to fulfillment, human race was totally saved from sin and given hope of eternal life at Easter. Easter is the only living evidence of our salvation in Jesus Christ.

Easter is unique because it is used for a reflection of what God did for mankind in giving us His only begotten son to die for us. It represents the defeat of death and hope of salvation. If not for Easter, there wouldn’t have been any strong foundation for Christian faith.
