The board of Odua Investment Company Limited (OICL) has reiterated its commitment to repositioning Lagos Airport Hotel, one of its subsidiaries, and restore the facility to its pride of place.

The  Group Chairman, OICL, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, gave the assurance in Lagos,  at the reopening ceremony of the renovated Harold Block rooms, in the hotel, on Tuesday .

He described the reopening of the newly renovated 51 rooms and corridors of the Harold Block, as representing the legacy, renewal, and  clear roadmap to the future the group had  envisioned for the historic establishment.

Otunba Ashiru added that the facelift is not only a mere cosmetic change, but a strategic refresh of value and experience.

He therefore commended the collaboration between the Board of Lagos Airport Hotel and the Group’s  oversight and project delivery teams, working with Wemabod Limited and other professionals for effectively delivering the project on time.

“Your commitment has ensured the successful delivery of this first phase of renewal. But let me be clear, the vision for this hotel extends beyond today’s reopening. What we are witnessing is only the beginning. The future of Lagos Airport Hotel lies in a holistic redevelopment plan that reimagines the property into a mixed-use hospitality and commercial destination,” he added.

Also speaking at the event, the Chairman, Board of Directors,  Lagos Airport Hotel, Prince Prince Oyeleye Fasua, described the renovation as   representing the hotel’s renewed commitment to service excellence, customer satisfaction, and industry leadership.

He  added that the successful completion of the project bore eloquent testimony to the power of collaboration and shared vision across the Odu’a Investment Group.

Prince Fasua expressed the board’s appreciation to the parent company, the OICL for providing the necessary support for the intervention.

“By beautifying our driveway and improving the general ambience of the hotel premises, LAHL has taken additional steps to enhance the guest experience. This is part of our board’s broader commitment to reposition this hotel as a competitive player in the industry,” he added.

The Group Managing Director, OICL, who

was represented by Mr Yemi Ajao, the Executive Director, Group Chief Investment and Business Development Officer , expressed the group’s appreciation  to all stakeholders for their continuous support for the Odu’a brand and subsidiaries.

He stated that the group’s shared vision with LAHL Board is to modernise Lagos Airport Hotel Limited and maximize the value of its prime land assets through mixed-use development.
