Nigerian fashion designer and content creator, Ruth Erikan James, popularly known as Veekee James, has responded to criticism over her husband’s frequent public appearances with her.
The media personality defended her marriage after an online user questioned why her husband, Femi, often accompanies her to events and other public outings.
The comment came after Femi and Veekee James attended the traditional wedding of Peller and Jarvis.
The user, identified online as Lauren, wrote, “Does this man have a life of his own? Must he follow you everywhere?? Did you see your friend’s husband there? You don turn am to handbag?”

Responding to the criticism, Veekee James said she enjoys sharing life with her husband and made it clear that she has no issue with him being by her side wherever she goes.
“Yes my husband does not have a life of his own. His life is my life. My life is his life. He is me and I am Him. Together we are like what? Padlock and key. When you marry your own, separate him.
“Remove him from your life and keep him somewhere else. But you see this my own?
“He is me and I am him. You will see me him everywhere.” she fired back.
