Music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba,has defended his wife, Natasha Osawaru, saying the Edo State lawmaker is now receiving death threats amid ongoing marriage drama.

In a new video shared online and sighted by Tribune Online, 2Baba said the situation around their relationship, and the interference of family and friends has gotten out of control.

He explained that he can no longer remain silent as the tension worsens.

In the video, 2Baba said, “This whole situation has gotten dangerously out of hand, and I can’t keep quiet anymore. I’m grown and have the right to do what I want.”

He noted that his family’s involvement, though presented as support or attempt to save him, has made things worse and exposed Natasha to online attacks.

He said, “My family, who claimed they wanted to save me, have actually destroyed me and damaged Natasha’s character. She is getting death threats. This is unfair. My family did the same thing with Annie.”

Tribune Online earlier reported that the singer had posted a separate video declaring that he was perfectly okay despite concerns from fans and colleagues, adding that the viral “Help me” message on his page was not posted by him.

2Baba’s latest reaction came following an Edo State House of Assembly summon on Honourable Natasha Osawaru Irobosa, to appear before its committee amid the marriage controversy.
