The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, is drawing attention after predicting the removal of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olukayode Egbetokun, just hours before news of the development broke.

Primate Ayodele, in a statement issued by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, had declared during a sermon that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would implement sweeping changes within the security architecture before the end of 2026, with the IGP and some service chiefs among those to be affected.

“The spirit of the Lord revealed to me that the Inspector General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, the Chief of Army Staff and some service chiefs will be removed from office before the end of the year,” the cleric stated.

“The president will make these changes before the election, except God changes His mind. The decision has been made already. Let the service chiefs and the IGP prepare for this move.”

Hours after the prophecy circulated, reports confirming Egbetokun’s removal surfaced, prompting supporters of the cleric to describe the development as a fulfillment of his revelation.

Ayodele also maintained that the anticipated shake-up is part of broader strategic adjustments expected ahead of the 2027 presidential election. He reiterated his long-standing position that the current administration under the All Progressives Congress (APC) would face significant challenges.

The cleric had previously warned in 2022 that another APC-led government would usher in hardship, economic strain and governance difficulties, statements that went viral at the time.

With the latest development, followers say the timing of his prediction — coming just hours before the official announcement — reinforces their belief in his prophetic consistency, while critics argue that political forecasts often align with ongoing speculations within government circles.
