Serial Guinness World Record-breaker, David Rush, has explained how he broke his own record for balancing toilet paper rolls on his head, successfully keeping 254 rolls balanced in the air.

According to a report by United Press International (UPI) on Thursday, Rush, who holds more than 200 Guinness World Records titles, initially set the record for the most toilet paper rolls balanced on the head with 101 rolls in 2021.

He later raised the mark to 195 rolls before assembling a team to help him achieve the latest record of 254 rolls.

Explaining how he accomplished the feat, Rush in a YouTube video said the attempt required a team of people to construct and position the enormous stack before he could balance it.

“I needed a whole team to break this world record to stack 254 rolls of toilet paper on my forehead. The crazy part, I’d already broken this exact record a few months earlier with 195. Most people would call that a win, but once you understand what actually controls this record, you start wondering how far can you really push it.

“Because this record looks easier than it is, even though it looks hard. It’s actually brutal, not because of the weight, though it is heavy, because of the nerves. The second you tense up, the stack starts moving, and once 200 rolls start moving, you’re done.

“So I took this to the YMCA with 254 rolls and enough people to actually make this possible. Because at this point, I couldn’t even get the stack positioned on myself.

“First attempt, instant collapse. But nobody gave up. We stacked the whole inverse pyramid again.

“Second try. The team lifted it up, positioned it, stepped away, and suddenly, you can feel everyone holding their breath. Because now it’s 254 rolls balanced on one single roll.

“One bad shift, one nervous correction, and everything comes down. 30 seconds! New world record!

“But honestly, that wasn’t the fun part, so I kept going. One leg, then on my knees, then sitting. 72 seconds!

“My name is David Rush. I try to break a world record every week. Follow along to see what I try next.”
