…village head found alive
Kwara State Governor, Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman, has visited Kaiama communities affected by the recent bandits’ attack as the death toll continues to rise, with security authorities confirming at least 75 fatalities.
The governor’s visit comes amid intensified security operations under a new military initiative known as “Operation Savannah Shield,” aimed at combating armed groups and preventing further attacks in the area.
According to information shared by Farooq Kperogi, quoting the governor’s aide, Governor Abdulrazaq travelled to Kaiama alongside about 1,000 military personnel as part of efforts to stabilise the situation.
A short video shared on Facebook by Ibraheem Abdullateef, one of the aides to Governor Abdulrazaq, also shows the governor condoling with the Emir of Kaiama during the visit.
