Unilever Nigeria Plc has kicked off 2026 on a strong footing, posting double-digit growth across key performance indicators in its unaudited results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2026.
The consumer goods giant reported a 26 per cent year-on-year increase in revenue to N59.2 billion, up from N46.9 billion in the corresponding period of 2025, driven largely by volume growth, product innovation, and strengthened market execution.
Operating profit rose even faster, climbing 39 per cent to N11.5 billion from N8.3 billion, reflecting improved efficiency and cost discipline. Net profit also grew by 26 per cent to N7.0 billion, underscoring the company’s ability to translate top-line expansion into bottom-line gains despite a challenging macroeconomic environment.
Managing Director, Tobi Adeniyi, described the performance as a continuation of the momentum built in the previous year.
“Our Q1 2026 results represent a strong start to the year and a clear signal that the momentum we delivered in 2025 is being sustained,” Adeniyi said. “Growth in the quarter was driven primarily by increased volume, underpinned by innovation and strong marketplace execution.”

With over a century of manufacturing presence in the country, Unilever Nigeria said its performance reflects enduring brand strength and consumer trust, as it continues to leverage its diverse portfolio to drive sustainable growth and long-term value creation.
