The Odiowere (village head) of Eguaholor Community in Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of Edo State, Pa Omokaro Osarenkhoe, has commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for the construction of the 7.5-kilometre road linking other agrarian communities in the area.
Speaking on behalf of the people of Eguaholor, Isi, Ohe, Ekenisi, Obaseki’s village, Uvbenisi, Iguomo and Oza communities, Osarenkhoe described the project as a landmark intervention that has rekindled hope among residents.
He said the project will improve connectivity, stimulate economic activities and address years of infrastructural neglect suffered by the affected communities.
The community leader particularly praised Okpebholo for extending the project to Ekenisi, the ancestral home of former Governor Godwin Obaseki, despite political differences between both administrations.

According to him, the decision reflects maturity and demonstrates that governance should be driven by service to the people rather than partisan interests.
Osarenkhoe noted that poor road infrastructure had, for decades, hampered farming, trade and transportation in the area, adding that the new road will boost agricultural productivity and improve residents’ standard of living.
He also expressed gratitude to the governor for reappointing Dr Washington Osifo as a commissioner, describing him as a dedicated public servant whose contributions have positively impacted the state.
The Odiowere assured Okpebholo of the continued support of the people of Uhunmwonde, urging him to remain focused on policies and programmes aimed at promoting development, unity and prosperity across the state.
