‘They should have tied her hand’, reactions as lady ‘mistakenly’ stabs friend to death during fight

Social media users have continued to decry how a lady reportedly died after being mistakenly stabbed by her female friend during a physical fight.

In one of the trending videos, which was posted by @ObaofPH01 on X, the yet-to-be-identified ladies could be seen fighting and dragging a knife between themselves. One of them cut the other’s right hand, and blood started gushing out from the wound.

The bleeding continued for some time while the rest of their female friends at the scene looked on and recorded the situation without taking action to save the wounded girl’s life.

In another video, the stabbed lady could be seen seemingly lying lifeless in a pool of her own blood.

The videos have continued to stir reactions from social media users, with many saying the girl’s death was avoidable.

Netizens blamed the onlookers for merely recording the situation without promptly attempting to provide first aid to the wounded lady by tying the wound to stop the bleeding and then quickly finding a way to take her to the hospital.

Reacting to the development on X, a user, @BigOsCrypt tweeted, “They could’ve tied that hand or made a tourniquet to stop the bleeding then take her to a nearby clinic. Sigh first aid education is super important !.”

Another user, @abazwhyllz wrote, “Please arrest all of them in that house..she was blèèdin for long and no one cared to rush her to the hospital???.”

“Over 10 grown adult women but not one with a functioning brain even the dead girl. So none of them thought about covering the wound and rushing her to the nearest hospital???!!! All they did was to record? Record for who??!!!” @Irrunia_ opined.

@Row_Haastrup tweeted, “Very unintelligent and stupid girls.

They didn’t know how to stop bleeding by applying pressure and rushing her to the hospital but they knew how to record and shout up and down.

Mind the kind of friends you keep around you.

Pressure on that cut first of all to control the bleeding. They watched her bleed out and couldn’t do anything but shout and make noise ? SAD.” @effizzzy tweeted.

@Emedymessi wrote, “I understand that when in panic, one doesn’t really have the right coordination to make right decisions, but this was totally avoidable. Just try and stop the bleeding first ffs🤦🏾‍♂️ Idk what they learnt in elementary school.”

“Just as a medical advice, if ever in such a situation, don’t panic, get a cloth and tie it firmly around the bleeding point, help the victim to lie down and rush to the nearest hospital. That was an arterial bleed that led to her exsanguination. We need to lay more emphasis on first aid measures to save such situations. Even the person that was doing the video would have done a better job giving first aid help.” @drfynrenkis.
