Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the opening of its seventh Gemini Experience Center in Troy to support the use of physical AI in manufacturing.

The seventh Gemini Experience Center in Michigan, United States, was developed in collaboration with Google Cloud. The facility includes the TCS Physical AI blueprint, which combines AI-powered robotics with sensors and edge intelligence.

The company said the new centre forms part of its plan to build 13 Gemini Experience Centers by 2026. TCS has already set up similar facilities in Bengaluru, New York City, Chennai, Riyadh, Singapore and São Paulo as part of its innovation network. Six additional centres are expected to open later this year.

The seventh Gemini Experience Center will allow manufacturers to test and apply physical AI in areas such as safety, patrolling and operational monitoring.

The Physical AI blueprint will support use cases including autonomous patrolling, PPE compliance checks, environmental monitoring and predictive equipment health monitoring.

Anupam Singhal, President — Manufacturing, TCS, said, “With the launch of our Physical AI Gemini Experience Center for Manufacturing, we are enabling manufacturers to extend visibility and decision-making into environments that are difficult, risky, or inefficient for humans to access.”

TCS said the Physical AI system combines AI-powered humanoid robots with sensing and edge intelligence to support manufacturing operations and insights.

The facility will follow a human-in-the-loop model, where the physical AI systems work alongside human workers to improve safety and support industrial processes.

According to Saurabh Tiwary, VP and General Manager, Cloud AI, Google Cloud, the partnership with TCS will help speed up the deployment of agentic AI across industrial sectors and support more autonomous and data-driven operations.

“The goal is to create future-ready industrial environments that are safer, more adaptive and continuously aware at scale,” Singhal said.
