Taraba lawmaker salutes appointment of Prof Dan-Azumi as Abass’ COS

The member of the Taraba state House of Assembly representing Ardo- Kola state constituency, Hon Happy Shorunba, has rejoiced with Prof. Jake Dan-Azumi over his appointment as Chief of staff to the speaker of the House of Representative, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas.

The lawmaker also thanked the speaker for finding Professor Dan-Azumi to serve in the position.

“It is with gratitude to God Almighty and a joyful heart that I congratulate Jake Dan-Azumi on his assumption of office today as the Chief of Staff to the Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas.

“The appointment of Dan-Azumi is a well-deserved appointment and a testimony of his hard work and excellent service delivery in the National Assembly for the past 14 years.

“Dan-Azumi is a first-class material who is bringing on board his experience as an international consultant in parliamentary affairs.

“As a former Technical Assistant to the Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), National Assembly, Jake Dan-Azumi is best suited for the job.

“On behalf of myself, my family, and the good people of Ardo-Kola State Constituency whom I represent in the State House of Assembly, I want to congratulate the Zing-born finest professional on this appointment and pray to God to grant him the wisdom and grace to excel and make Taraba and Nigeria proud.

“I want to thank Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, for finding our son, friend and brother from Taraba State worthy of such a sensitive position. I call on Nigerians to support the Chief of staff to the Rt. Honourable Speaker of the 10th National Assembly to succeed in his new assignment.” He said.
