SKLD Integrated Services Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading logistics and supply chain solutions providers, has secured N7.30 billion from the debt capital market through the successful quotation of its commercial papers on FMDQ Securities Exchange Limited, in a move expected to bolster its expansion plans and strengthen its working capital base.

The transaction comprises a N0.86 billion Series 1 Commercial Paper and a N6.44 billion Series 2 Commercial Paper issued under the company’s N10 billion Commercial Paper Programme, further underscoring growing investor confidence in Nigeria’s non-bank financing market.

The quotation, approved by the Board Listings and Markets Committee of FMDQ Exchange, highlights the increasing reliance of corporates on market-based funding solutions amid evolving financing conditions and rising demand for capital to drive business growth.

SKLD, which provides integrated logistics services spanning fleet management, warehousing, haulage and distribution, said proceeds from the issuance would be deployed to support operational expansion, enhance working capital and strengthen its capacity to deliver logistics solutions across Nigeria.

The successful fundraising comes at a time when efficient logistics and supply chain infrastructure are increasingly viewed as critical enablers of economic growth, trade facilitation and industrial development.

The transaction reflects the deepening sophistication of Nigeria’s debt capital market and the growing attractiveness of commercial papers as a flexible funding tool for corporates seeking short-term liquidity outside traditional bank lending channels.

The issuance was sponsored by Mulberry Advisory Services Limited as Lead Sponsor, alongside AIICO Capital Limited and Apel Asset Limited, all Registration Members (Quotations) of FMDQ Exchange.

Speaking on the development, Group Chief Operating Officer of FMDQ Group Plc, Tumi Sekoni, said the successful quotation demonstrates the broadening appeal of Nigeria’s capital market across strategic sectors of the economy.

“The quotation of SKLD Integrated Services Limited’s Commercial Papers on FMDQ Exchange highlights the broadening appeal of Nigeria’s capital markets to issuers across critical sectors of the economy,” she said.

According to Sekoni, logistics and supply chain infrastructure remain foundational to sustainable economic growth, adding that FMDQ Exchange is committed to providing a credible and efficient platform for corporates to access funding while connecting issuers with Nigeria’s growing investor community.

She noted that the transaction reinforces the Exchange’s role in fostering capital market development and supporting private-sector growth through innovative financing solutions.

The deal is another indication of the increasing depth of Nigeria’s commercial paper market, which has become a preferred funding avenue for companies seeking quicker access to capital amid elevated borrowing costs.

For SKLD, the additional funding is expected to support business expansion and improve operational efficiency as demand for logistics services continues to rise across sectors, including manufacturing, consumer goods, agriculture and e-commerce.

The latest quotation also strengthens FMDQ Exchange’s position as a leading platform for debt market activities and corporate fundraising in Nigeria.

FMDQ Group, Africa’s first vertically integrated financial market infrastructure group, continues to expand its role across debt, derivatives and equity markets through its subsidiaries, while also championing sustainable finance initiatives through the FMDQ Green Exchange.
