Aniogor Will Obiajulu, widely known as CW, is steadily building a name in Nigeria’s luxury space through his jewellery brand, ICEBYCW , and his emerging fashion label, Christopher Will.
Raised in Satellite Town and Festac, Lagos, Aniogor Obiajulu’s early years were shaped by financial instability. Between 2012 and 2015, economic challenges affecting Nigeria’s maritime and oil sectors impacted his family directly. His father lost major assets after a business deal collapsed, forcing the family out of their home. School fees went unpaid, and Aniogor Obiajulu was unable to complete high school at the time due to outstanding debts.
“As the first child, I felt responsible,” he recalls. “There were days I dressed for school but couldn’t attend because of fees.”
A pastor later sponsored his first semester at Caleb University, where he began selling vintage shirts with a roommate. After discovering the profit margins suppliers were making, he raised ₦5,000 to purchase and resell thrift shirts independently. The experiment paid off. He turned the investment into ₦50,000.
Although he admits he spent the proceeds unwisely on a phone, the experience marked the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey. Financial pressure eventually forced him to leave university, and his family moved into a one-room apartment in Orile-Iganmu.
Aniogor Obiajulu later sold sneakers on Lagos Island with limited returns until he discovered Instagram advertising through a former customer. With his last ₦3,000, he ran an advert. The next day, he received a ₦480,000 order. The transaction was initially flagged by his bank but was eventually cleared. More orders followed.
Within months, he was earning up to ₦1 million monthly. The income helped him support his family and stabilise their living conditions.
By 2020, Aniogor Obiajulu had begun styling influencers and expanding his product range. A connection to a gemstone supplier shifted his focus to jewellery. He started with small pieces and gradually moved into custom designs and Cuban links.
ICEBYCW grew largely through referrals and collaborations. One of its most visible moments came through influencer Yhemo Lee, which led to the creation of the “001” ring for music star Davido. The project increased brand awareness within entertainment and youth circles.
Unlike some players in the jewellery business, Aniogor Obiajulu maintains a relatively reserved public profile. He describes his approach as focused more on product quality and client trust than public display.
His fashion label, Christopher Will, represents a new phase. Named after his father and inspired by his own middle name, Godswill, the brand aims to compete beyond the local market.
“I want to build something that can be worn anywhere and stand on its own,” he says.
The debut collection, titled Euphonic, draws inspiration from the Japanese concept of karesansui (dry gardens). The designs feature muted tones and structured tailoring, with emphasis on balance and detail.
Aniogor Obiajulu says he is now more cautious in business operations following a temporary regulatory issue involving a foreign currency transaction, which led to a brief shutdown. The experience, he notes, pushed him to adopt stricter financial and compliance structures.
Today, Aniogor Obiajulu positions both ICEBYCW and Christopher Will around craftsmanship, structure, and long-term growth rather than influencer-driven marketing alone.
His journey reflects a broader shift in Nigeria’s luxury sector, where young entrepreneurs are building brands outside traditional pathways, using digital tools and strategic partnerships.
For Aniogor Obiajulu, the focus remains steady expansion and brand consolidation.
“I’ve seen difficult seasons,” he says. “Now it’s about building properly.”
