Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has confirmed the arrest of Mr Adeniyi Adeyemi, the embattled Director General of the “fake” Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).
The embattled DG was reportedly arrested somewhere in Osun State shortly after a Federal High Court in Abuja issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
The Court had ordered the arrest of the self-acclaimed Director-General of the PFIPC, Adeyemi, after he failed to appear for arraignment on charges of forgery, fraud, and impersonation.

Adeyemi was scheduled to take his plea on an eight-count charge bordering on forgery, fraud, and impersonation, but failed to show up.
When contacted, the Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO, CSP Aniettie Okokon Edem Iniedu, confirmed the arrest but declined further comments.
The Nigerian Tribune, however, learnt that the suspect would be taken before the court that ordered his arrest for trial.
