Allied Peoples Movement (APM) senatorial candidate for Oyo Central, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has called for unity and cooperation among party leaders, candidates and supporters ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ajadi made the call on Sunday during a stakeholders’ engagement across Oluyole, Akinyele/Lagelu and Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituencies, where he met party leaders, women and youth leaders, candidates and other supporters.
The engagement, which formed part of his Thank-You Tour, was aimed at appreciating party members for their support and strengthening the party’s grassroots structure ahead of the commencement of the 2027 campaign.

Speaking at the various meetings, Ajadi thanked the party leadership and members across the three constituencies for their support, saying the visits were primarily to appreciate them and strengthen relationships within the party.
He urged APM candidates and supporters to work together, stressing that victory in the 2027 elections would require unity, coordination and collective effort.
Ajadi also assured the people of Oyo Central that, if elected to the Senate, he would provide effective representation and work towards the development and welfare of the senatorial district.
The Director-General of the Ajadi campaign structure, Hon. Sikiru Sanda, described the tour as an important step towards building a formidable political structure ahead of the election.
Sanda said Ajadi had earlier engaged House of Representatives and State House of Assembly candidates, as well as party and council chairmen, on the need to reach out to members and stakeholders to appreciate their support before the official campaign.
He said the political arrangements that produced the various candidates had underscored the importance of accommodation, diplomacy and unity within the party.
According to him, Ajadi had demonstrated loyalty and maturity by remaining committed to the party despite the political arrangements.
At Oluyole Federal Constituency, the council chairman and APM House of Representatives candidate, Akeem Olatunji, received Ajadi and his entourage.
Olatunji said party leaders and stakeholders remained committed to the APM, urging members to maintain the unity needed to secure victory in the elections.
Hon. Depo Oyedokun Lawal expressed confidence in Ajadi’s chances, saying the unity among party members in Oluyole would translate into electoral gains for the senatorial candidate and other APM candidates.
Another party leader, Hon. Abdulmojeed Olawale Mogbonjubola, popularly known as Jagaban, said Ajadi’s political antecedents demonstrated his capacity to deliver, assuring him and other candidates of the constituency’s support.
At Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Akinwole Ayobami Akinleye, popularly known as Wole Akinleye, welcomed the delegation.
The meeting was attended by party leaders, council and party chairmen, women and youth leaders, as well as the APM House of Representatives candidate for the constituency.
The APM Chairman for Oyo Central, Hon. Dayo Opadokun, commended Ajadi for his efforts to promote reconciliation and unity among members.
He urged party members to support all APM candidates contesting the Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly elections.
Some stakeholders also urged Ajadi to prioritise inclusive representation and remain accessible to constituents if elected.
High Chief Akinropo Aderibigbe prayed for victory for Ajadi and other APM candidates, while Chief Oribayo Okeyode urged the senatorial candidate to remain committed to the people of Oyo Central.
The final leg of the tour took the delegation to Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, where party leaders and stakeholders from the two local governments received the team.
The meeting was attended by women and youth leaders, former political office holders, party executives, and the APM House of Representatives candidate for Egbeda/Ona-Ara, Hon. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji, popularly known as Otope.
Otope appreciated party leaders and members for their support, assuring them that all stakeholders would be carried along when the official campaign begins.
Other speakers, including Alhaji Muftau Ogunremi and Hon. Sikiru Busari Olayemi, called for unity and urged members to resolve grievances internally while working towards delivering their polling units to the party.
The meetings featured prayers and goodwill messages, with party leaders emphasising the need to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and maintain coordination among candidates and party structures ahead of the 2027 elections.
