Oyo State African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, on Saturday, assured local contractors in the state, that a government to be led by him come May 29, 2019, would make use of them in all projects to be awarded, so as to uplift the state’s economy and improve the lives of the people.
Lanlehin, who spoke at the ADC Oyo North zonal rally held at the Soun Ogunlola Town Hall, Ogbomoso, said; “we shall embark on projects that’ll impact the lives of our people positively and construct roads using our local contractors, the same way we’ll build and renovate our schools.”
“Our market men and women would be granted interest-free loans to revive their businesses. Unlike the APC Tradermoni scheme, where they distribute 10 per cent of what they budgeted, we’ll disburse adequate funds enough to grow their businesses,” he added.
Senator Lanlehin assured Ogbomoso people that having served as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council of the Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso, he knew the challenges facing the institution and would address it once and for all on becoming governor.
He reiterated that “I know how important LAUTECH is to the Ogbomoso economy, to that end, we shall confront the challenges facing the institution, and restore its enviable glory.”
Introducing his running mate, Alhaji Saheed Adejare (Alaran), to supporters and loyalists who thronged the venue, Lanlehin said his running mate is a complete gentleman like him, and that they would have no problem working together.
