Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been urged by some Nigerians to maintain his current level of political engagement in the 2027 presidential election, following his involvement in the ongoing Osun State governorship election.

Following his series of posts on the election and calls for transparency in the process, some X users urged the singer to maintain the same level of political engagement during the 2027 presidential election.

Earlier, the singer questioned the delay in the uploading of results on the Independent National Electoral Commission’s Result Viewing Portal.

His involvement has, however, prompted some X users to challenge him to maintain the same level of interest when the 2027 presidential election is held.

Reacting to Davido’s comments, an X user, @maximumolusegun, expressed hope that the singer would remain politically active beyond the Osun election.

“I just hope you keep this same energy when the next presidential election comes around. Because if you switch up again, we’ll remember this tweet 😂,” he wrote.

Another user, @to_bhy, joked about Davido’s frequent political updates, describing his involvement in the election as unusual for an entertainer.

“It’s actually crazy how the Osun election has made Davido a full-time political blogger,” the user wrote.

Meanwhile, @ComposeCooker called on Davido and other Nigerian celebrities to become more involved in political matters ahead of the 2027 elections.

“At least, you can see why we need people like you in 2027. Imagine, just imagine, all of you celebrities come together in unison 2027,” the user said.

Also reacting, @Shine98331 urged the singer not to limit his political engagement to the Osun election, saying, “Keep this energy going when it’s presidential election time o.”

Similarly, @PrinceDavies55 questioned whether Davido would sustain his current level of engagement during the next presidential election.

“This energy you are putting in for your uncle’s re-election, hope we will still see more of it during the presidential election,” the user wrote.
