Nigerian musician John Martins Orubor, popularly known as Orubor J, has released his long-awaited first single under his new identity. Released on 15 February 2025, the track, titled Hustle, launched through Thugluvin Records and marked the artist’s first official project since rebranding from his previous stage name, Richthug. The rebranding reflects a fresh start for Orubor J as he looks to further establish himself in the music industry.

The single, Hustle, is a powerful anthem inspired by the resilience and determination of everyday people striving for success. According to Orubor J, the song reflects his personal journey and was intended to motivate listeners to keep pushing forward despite challenges. “Hustle is more than a song—it’s a message to everyone out there chasing their dreams. It’s about perseverance, hard work, and staying true to your path,” the artist shared.

Thugluvin Records has expressed full support for Orubor J’s creative vision, noting that Hustle showcases his artistic growth while maintaining the energy and authenticity his fans have always admired. “This single represents a new beginning for Orubor J. It’s a bold statement of his talent and dedication, and we’re confident it will resonate with audiences far and wide,” the label’s management said in a statement.

Fans who were eagerly anticipating the release of Hustle, are now disappointed as the record hit all major streaming platforms. With this single, Orubor J aims to solidify his new identity while delivering a motivational track that connects deeply with his audience. This release signals an exciting new chapter in his career as he continues to make his mark in the Nigerian music scene.
