Popular Nigerian actor, Ojo Emmanuel Ayodele, has described the country’s movie industry as phenomenal, praising its storytelling depth and cultural impact.

Speaking with Saturday Tribune in Lagos, Ayodele said Nigerian films stand out for their unique, historical, and lesson-driven narratives that appeal to audiences across different cultural backgrounds.

He noted that the industry continues to evolve positively, producing content that reflects the country’s creativity and diversity.

The actor, who is also a businessman, advised upcoming actors to be intentional about the company they keep, stressing that associations play a key role in personal and professional growth.

According to him, success in the entertainment industry, like in life, is largely influenced by one’s relationships and environment.

Ayodele also urged young practitioners not to neglect spiritual guidance, saying challenges are inevitable and faith remains an important source of strength during difficult times.

He prayed for continued growth in the industry, expressing optimism that Nigeria’s creative sector will keep gaining recognition globally.

“When asked to describe my country’s movie industry, it is nothing short of phenomenal,” he said. “Our stories are unique, historical and lesson-driven across all backgrounds.

“I want to urge upcoming actors to distance themselves from the wrong influences because, like life, how far we go is largely dependent on our associations.

“That does not mean you should neglect the role of God, because He is the one to run to when life challenges surface,” he added.
