My husband never told me he has 4 other children from 4 women, woman tells court

The president, Pyakasa Customary Court, Lugbe, Chief Usman Ibrahim  recently dissolved a nine-year-old marriage between a couple, Chukwu Oge and Obinna Akuobi over deceit and lies.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Ibrahim held that the court had no other option than to dissolve their union since both parties had resolved to dissolve their marriage and urged the court to adopt terms of settlement.

He said that Oge was granted custody of the seven-year-old child produced by their marriage for now, while Obinna takes over his custody at age 16 as agreed by both parties.

Ibrahim stated that Obinna is expected to pay N15,000 monthly to Oge for the upkeep of their child and pay his school fees.

He also ordered Oge to return the N5,000 bride price Obinna paid her family as agreed.

He also instructed her to ensure that the respondent is allowed to visit his son.

Earlier in her petition, Oge, an indigene of Enugu State, had approach the court, seeking that it dissolve her marriage to Obinna.

The petitioner said that their marriage was built on deception because Obinna never told her he had four children from four different women before their marriage.

She also told the court that he never told her his Genotype is AS, knowing full well that she is also AS.

Oge said that her marriage to Obinna had become a nightmare and that she was not willing to continue with it.
